Free Download: Snoop Dogg – Doggystyle: The Samples [20th Anniversary]

To mark the 20th anniversary of Snoop Dogg‘s classic debut “Doggystyle“, Snoop Dogg has mixed some of the samples used on the album.

Snoop narrates, raps and sings throughout the almost 1 hour mix, reminding us of the sounds and artists featured on the album.

Produced entirely by Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg’s “Doggystyle” is regarded as Snoop Dogg’s best album and contained many of his classic songs.

The official description reads:

November 23rd marks the 20th Anniversary of Snoop Dogg’s highly-acclaimed Doggystyle, in which his lyrical realism and distinctive vocal flow forever changed hip-hop and helped define the genre into what it is today.

In honor of this date, Snoop has created an enticing mixtape of the samples used on Doggystyle. Never done before, Snoop offers exclusive commentary about each song and the behind-the-scenes stories that went on during the making of the historic record. The mixtape offers fans a once-in-a-lifetime experience to hear first-hand, the creative process behind the record.

The mixtape is accompanied with a video giving us an insight to behind the scenes where Snoop (DJ Snoopadelic) mixed the samples together himself.

To describe the mixtape in a nutshell: it is Snoop getting high and vibing with some old funk records.
