Rumors are circulating that Keiji Inafune’s Mighty No. 9 has been delayed to 2016.
As was noticed by NeoGaf, listings for the game at GameStop, Amazon, and Walmart now have a placeholder date of “2016.” However, listings for the game’s digital pages still have it listed for 2015. This could suggest that only the physical version of the game is being delayed. GameSpot reached out to Deep Silver but their representative refused to comment.
As things stand, we don’t have enough information to properly speculate on what is happening. Why delay the physical version of the game by a year? Will the digital version also eventually be delayed? Many questions, but few answers.
Mighty No. 9 is set to (eventually) be released on the PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U. Stay tuned for more information on it’s actual release date as it becomes available.
