Justice League Dark and The Shining Spinoff Are Coming to HBO Max

HBO is continuing its partnership with J.J. Abrams and Katie McGrath’s Bad Robot Productions by ordering new series for HBO Max, including new adaptations of The Shining and Justice League Dark.

Overlook, is a horror-thriller series inspired by and featuring iconic characters from Stephen King’s The Shining. Overlook explores the untold, terrifying stories of the most famous haunted hotel in American fiction.

The other series will be an adaptation of the acclaimed DC comics characters Justice League Dark, though details on who will be involved, characters or otherwise, have yet to be revealed but there’s always hope it could focus on Deadman, Zatanna, and Etrigan, a demon imprisoned in the body of the medieval knight.

Former genius and a woman of mystery and power, whose power is exceeded only by her mystery, Dana Abercrombie has been watching movies since birth (yes birth...we did say "genius"). Despite her secret desire of wanting to give it all up to become a gorgeous billionaire, Dana is most passionate politics about movies often times getting in many heated debates resulting in being thrown out of many gatherings. Despite having a degree in English AND Journalism (multi-tasking FTW!) from the University at Albany-SUNY, she is currently interested in perusing a degree at Yale Law School, because one should never give up on a dream of becoming a gorgeous billionaire...and knowing how to sue someone as a result of those heated debates.
