Sylvester Stallone Becomes a Badass Superhero in Prime Video’s Samaritan

Sylvester Stallone is back, and he’s taken on a role you’ve never seen him in before. While he has played Stakar Ogord in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, and he’ll reprising the character in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3, the upcoming Prime Video’s movie Samaritan has him as an actual superhero.

Sylvester Stallone’s Joe Smith once protected the citizens of Granite City as Samaritan, but 25 years ago, the public was led to believe that the superhero had died during a fiery warehouse battle with his rival, Nemesis. However, that was not the case as Smith now spends his days as a garbageman keeping a low profile. The city he once protected is more crime-ridden than ever, but Smith shows no interest in becoming Samaritan again to save the day.

Then came along thirteen-year-old Sam Cleary (Javon “Wanna” Walton) who suspects his mysterious and reclusive neighbor Mr. Smith (Sylvester Stallone) is actually a legend hiding in plain sight, after seeing Joe Smith save him from some bullies with his incredible strength, Sam suspects that the older man is a still-alive Samaritan, and that hunch is confirmed when Smith is hit by a car and quickly heals from the collision.

With crime on the rise and the city on the brink of chaos, Sam makes it his mission to coax his neighbor out of hiding to save the city from ruin.
