Welcome to a fresh new approach for the definite Hip Hop podcast, Knights of the Turntable. Continuing with our dedication to consistency, the team will be upgrading the format as time allows. Starting with this episode, we will now be joining in the legitimacy of our incredible Throwdown and Co-Op podcasts by going visual. Now you get to see the faces behind the genius and humor that is KOTT.
The cast this episode includes CSJR, Joe Hova, Richard Bailey, and artist Dot as we discuss these topics:
- Kanye says Yeezus was him rebelling against the music industry in music form and discussed a collaborative album with Drake
- Who’s the top rapper from every region?
- First Impressions of Drake’s latest mixtape/album
- Artist Dot speaks on the launch of his album MCMXCVI
In addition to these topics, we’ll be introducing a segment where we crown a Hip Hop project as the pivotal project and, each week, we’ll analyse recent releases and see if the crowned album/mixtape is dethroned.
As a bonus, we’re continuing the weekly drinking game as well. This week, the audience must drink every time you hear Kanye addressed by any name other than Kanye (Ye, Yeezy, Yeezus, etc).
This week’s panel: Charles Singeltary (host), Richard Bailey Jr, Joe Hova, DOT
