Earlier today, Square Enix confirmed that Final Fantasy 8 is now available on Steam. The launch trailer above highlights some of the game’s signature moments and introduces new fans of the series to an ensemble of characters and several highly intense action sequences.
This highly revamped version of Final Fantasy 8 retails for $11.99 and is fully optimized for HD PCs and offers new features in the form a Magic Booster option for players, the once Japan exclusive Chocobo World mini-game, and 45 integrated achievements. Shortly after releasing on the PlayStation way back in 1999, Final Fantasy 8 went on to become the fastest selling game in the franchise with over 8.5 million copies sold worldwide. Eventually, Final Fantasy 13 took that crown and is now the best selling game in the franchise.
