Earlier today, Telltale Games unveiled the first official teaser trailer for their highly anticipated second season of The Walking Dead.
The brief video features a peaceful flashback of a conversation that took place between Lee and Clementine during season one. The setting then shifts dramatically to a darkly lit field where Clementine is seen running away from walkers. The teaser implies that Clementine will be the main protagonist this season, much to the delight of many who are diehard fans of the character. Telltale provided a brief synopsis of what to expect from this season which you can now read below:
The Walking Dead: Season Two will continue the story of Clementine, a young girl orphaned at the outset of the undead apocalypse, now left to her own devices to seek safety and survive in a world gone mad. Now assuming the role of an ordinary child, players will struggle to outwit both the dead and the living in situations that will test their morals and control the flow of the story through their decisions and actions.
In addition to all the above information, the studio also sent us over five early screenshots from the game to get us excited for it’s fall release. You can check out all five of this pictures in all their glory below:
After getting blindsided by all these details, I must admit that I have never been more excited to play another Walking Dead video game than I am right now. There are plenty more questions that need to be answered and I’m confident that Telltale will once again deliver an emotionally gripping storyline from the beginning to the end.
The Walking Dead: Season Two is expected to release this fall on the PC, Mac, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, iOS devices, and the PlayStation Vita. It’s currently unknown if this game will make it’s way onto both the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms. My best guess is that it will when all is said and done.
