Summary: Mei is a climatologist who is out to preserve the environment and ecosystem after waking up from a decade-long cryostasis sleep. Mei’s weather-altering devices slow opponents and protect locations. Her Endothermic Blaster unleashes damaging icicles and frost streams, and she can Cryo-Freeze herself to guard against counterattacks.
Mei Tips
- Always use your Icicle Projectiles after freezing a target, and aim at their heads. This guarantees a kill before the freeze wares off.
- Whenever possible, use your Ice Wall to block enemy Ults
- Don’t forget that you can use Mei’s Ice Wall to get you to higher sections of the map by placing it underneath yourself
- Avoid fighting multiple targets alone. Your best bet is to try and catch enemies off-guard with your Endothermic Blaster
- Mei is another character who’s Ult status is important to the team as it can be chained with others. Keep your team updated on your charge level
- Cryo-Freeze will remove Zenyatta’s Orb of Discord
- Using Cryo-Freeze on a point will allow you to contest and buy your team an extra 4 seconds, which is significant in an Overtime situation.
