Orisa
Role: Tank
Summary: Orisa is an Omnic guardian. Orisa serves as the central anchor of her team, and defends her teammates with a protective barrier. She can attack from long range, launch graviton charges to slow and move enemies, and deploy a Supercharger to boost the damage output of multiple allies at once.
Orisa Tips
- It’s important to remember that you don’t need to stop shooting Orisa’s Fusion Driver to use her Halt graviton charge. On the contrary, the two abilities compliment each other since Orisa’s Fusion Driver shots take a little time to reach the enemy, so with a graviton charge your shots will hit the enemy as they are pulled into range by the charge
- Use Halt to instantly shift enemies from high ground to low ground. This will catch them off guard and make them easy pickings for your team mates
- Orisa has 150 bullets, so you’re able to shoot for a very long time before needing to reload. Cut down on how often you reload to get the best out of her offense. Most times it’s actually better to let the weapon reload itself
- Fortify makes Orisa invulnerable to some of the most game-changing abilities in the game, such as Mei’s Cryo-freeze, Roadhog’s Chain Hook and Zarya’s Graviton Surge. Use it wisely and negate enemy abilities as much as possible
- When first deploying a Protective Barrier, fire it into the air directly above where you want it placed. It will take a few seconds to land, but this buys you cooldown time so that your able to instantly deploy the next one once it gets shot down. This tactic is best used at the start of a match when defending, right before your enemies reach the front line
- Your Supercharge Ult doesn’t have much HP, so be careful where you place it. Orisa drops the Supercharger directly in front of her, so never drop it when you are facing the enemies as it will be in their line of sight. Try to place it behind a wall or around a corner when you have enough allies around to benefit from its buffs
