The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Sells 10 Million Copies Worldwide and Becomes The Fastest Selling Game In Steam History

Bethesda Softworks today revealed some fantastic sales figures for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The game has sold over 10 million units worldwide, raking in approximately $650 million worth of retail sales. If that was not enough Skyrim has also become the fastest selling game in Steam history outselling all other PC games by a factor of three to one in the month of its release. In addition, this years 2011 Video Game Awards “Game of the Year” has also claimed the prize for being the most played game of the year, beating out games like Battlefield 3 and the mighty Call of Duty according to data provided by the social networking website, Raptr.
