Today, The Behemoth decided to release the official launch trailer for their highly anticipated video game BattleBlock Theater.
This cooperative and competitive platformer has been in development since the release of their popular Castle Crashers game back in 2008. The video above shows off plenty of gameplay footage along with a catchy rap song to give you a rough idea of how playful and inviting the game really is. In addition to the trailer, they also released a video below showing how characters and heads can be unlocked by earning achievements across BattleBlock Theater, Castle Crashers, and Alien Hominid HD.
After having played this game during PAX East, I can honestly say this was probably the most fun I’ve had during the first day of the show. While there is no official word yet on when this game will hit the PlayStation 3 or PC, one could guess that the time frame shouldn’t be too far off from now.
BattleBlock Theater is currently available on the Xbox Live Arcade Marketplace for 1200 Microsoft points or $15.00. Will you be picking up this game? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
