At last year’s E3, Sony embraced indie games by inviting 9 indie developers to present during their conference. So, how have these developers enjoyed their experience working with Sony? Quite well, according to this video.
Most of the developers responses were what I expected. They were shocked that Sony would consider inviting them on stage, and they enjoyed working with the publisher because it gave them a reach that they previously did not have. So far so good.
Indie developers are important, either for providing new experiences, or keeping content flowing in between AAA release dates. It will be interesting how Sony continue support indie developers going forward, and if they’ll invite any more to present at the upcoming E3. I wouldn’t be surprised if there was a repeat performance this year.
