Going Supersonic: An Interview with Ralph Breaks the Internet’s Roger Craig Smith

Roger Craig Smith is one of the most recognizable voices in the voice-over and video gaming community. From giving a voice to Ezio Auditore da Firenze in Assasin’s Creed to Batman in Batman: Arkham Origins to Chris Redfield in the Resident Evil series, fans have come to know and love him for his rich and diverse voice and roles.

Smith’s success grew even larger in 2010 when he voiced one of the most iconic roles as Sonic the Hedgehog in numerous projects. Considered one the most memorable voices of a generation, Sonic the Hedgehog was featured in 2012’s Wreck-It-Ralph and now its sequel Ralph Breaks the Internet.

​Compared to the first Wreck-It Ralph, with Ralph Breaks the Internet, fans will see Sonic literally interacting with Ralph. going toe-to-toe with Ralph telling fans there’s a familiarity and an interaction between them.

The Koalition spoke to Smith about taking up the Sonic mantel once again, what it was like working on a movie that included the highest number of characters in any Disney Animation film, how he found his voice, what it’s like to play several iconic voices throughout his career, and more.
