Earth’s Mightiest Heroes are preparing to assemble for Marvel Entertainment, Square Enix, and Crystal Dynamic’s Marvel’s Avengers. The highly-anticipated video game is full of originality, character-driven story that places the unique powers of Captain America, Black Widow, Iron Man, Thor, Hulk and Kamala Khan into the hands of its players.
Developed by Crystal Dynamics in collaboration with Eidos-Montréal, Nixxes Software, and Crystal Northwest, Marvel’s Avengers is based on the Marvel Comics superhero team the Avengers.
Beginning on A-Day, the Avengers are celebrating the unveiling of a second headquarters in San Francisco — including the reveal of their own helicarrier powered by a Terrigen crystal. The ceremony soon goes awry when a catastrophic incident results in most of the city being destroyed and the apparent death of Captain America. Blamed for the tragedy, the Avengers disband. Five years later, the rebuilt city is now under the control of A.I.M. and superheroes are outlawed. But with the world in peril once more, the only hope is to reassemble Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, avenge Captain America’s death, and uncover the true culprit behind A-Day.
Filled with action-packed events and incredible graphics (forget what you’ve seen at E3) Marvel’s Avengers game will span across the entire planet and will see you taking on the role of Kamala Khan who will unlock the mystery of it all.
But that barely touches what Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have in store for fans. Before the Marvel Games Panel at this year’s NYCC, The Koalition got to talk to the Crystal Dynamics’ team about the next phase in the Avengers, the imperative role Kamala Khan plays and learn more about life after a failed Avengers event.
Marvel’s Avengers will release simultaneously for the PlayStation 4 , Xbox One, Xbox One X, Stadia, and PC on May 15, 2020.
