Earlier today, 2K Games and Hangar 13 released the first of four trailers highlighting their upcoming Mafia: Definitive Edition video game. The brief video embedded above is titled Welcome to the City of Lost Heaven and showcases the game’s setting. Lost Heaven is a prohibition-era Midwestern city teeming with period-authentic details and offers a glimpse into this tumultuous time and place in American history. Mafia: Definitive Edition – a comprehensive, built-from-the-ground-up remake of the original Mafia – launches September 25. The remake features an updated script filled with rich new dialogue, expanded backstories, and additional cutscenes. Players will also find all-new gameplay sequences and features, best-in-class cinematics, a re-recorded orchestral score, and other enhancements. It’s the Mafia players remember, only much more.
The next video in the series will debut on September 10th and focus primarily on the overhauled shooting and driving mechanics. The third and fourth videos in the series will dive into missions and the musical score and debut on September 17th and 23rd respectively.
