Death Stranding Director’s Cut Coming To PS5

During Summer Game Fest earlier today, Kojima Productions and Sony Interactive Entertainment revealed that Death Stranding Director’s Cut is coming To PS5 soon. A brief Metal Gear-inspired teaser trailer from the announcement is embedded above.

Death Stranding Director's Cut

Kojima stated that we will learn more details about this version of the game over the next few weeks. This is an interesting tidbit of news because there have been rumors that Sony is going to have another State of Play event towards the end of June.

Death Stranding originally launched on PS4 back in November of 2019. Having reviewed the game, I thought it had some interesting ideas but definitely wasn’t a title that would appeal to every type of gamer. It will be very interesting to see what’s different about this version of the game and how it utilizes the full power and functionality of the PS5. Could there be some heavily inspired Metal Gear-related content in the game? This certainly seems like a possibility based on the teaser trailer. Stay tuned for more details on this and other upcoming titles in the future.
