Assassin’s Creed Mirage Trailers Released, Launches In 2023

During today’s Ubisoft Forward event earlier today, Ubisoft finally released more details on their upcoming Assassin’s Creed Mirage video game in the form of two informative and exciting trailers.

The first video embedded above is the official world premiere of the game. Some additional details are included below along with the second trailer which features an in-depth developer breakdown.

In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, you are Basim, a cunning street thief with nightmarish visions, seeking answers and justice. After an act of deadly retribution, Basim flees Baghdad and joins an ancient organization – The Hidden Ones. As he learns their mysterious rituals and powerful tenets, he will hone his unique abilities, discover his true nature, and come to understand a new Creed – one that will change his fate in ways he never could have imagined.

As a longtime fan of the franchise, I have often wondered what Ubisoft could do to get the series back to its roots. Mirage already looks as though it will achieve that goal as the gameplay will be heavily focused on stealth and assassinations as opposed to having a ton of unnecessary RPG elements.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage was originally supposed to be an expansion for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla before becoming a standalone game. Judging by today’s presentation, it looks like this was a wise decision and I can’t wait until we learn more about Basim’s upcoming adventure.

Assassin’s Creed Mirage launches in 2023. Are any of you looking forward to the game? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
