WWE 2K23 Steiner Row Pack DLC Review – Holla If Ya Hear Me

The time has finally arrived, and we have our first DLC pack for WWE 2K23. And when I say “finally” I’m not being sarcastic. Hit Row was originally planned to be in WWE 2K22 before their release in 2021 (returned in 2022) and the Steiner brothers…well long-time WWE fans NEVER thought this day would come considering Scott Steiner’s rather unflattering public comments about WWE.

However, Scott’s nephew Bron Breakker (Rick Steiner’s son) has quickly become a rising star in WWE and it appears this was the best time to leave the past in the past and to quote Triple H “Do what’s best for business”.

The following superstars are included:

  •     Scott Steiner
  •     Rick Steiner
  •     B-Fab (Manager only)
  •     Top Dolla
  •     Ashante Adonis

So, I know what you’re thinking…No Big Poppa Pump? Just classic Scott Steiner? Well, the answer is YES and NO.

For some odd reason the Big Poppa Pump character is not included as an alternate for Scott and at first I thought it had something to do with licensing until it was discovered by the WWE 2K23 creations community that his Entrance & victory motions are in fact now in the game and labeled “Big Poppa Pump”. To go a step further, once this motion is assigned to Scott Steiner the commentary team of Graves and Cole will now address him as Big Poppa Pump along with adding other comments about him during his match. So the question is why would they add all this and NOT include an actual character model? My guess is we will see a Big Poppa Pump, but it will most likely be a MyFaction card which could explain the addition of the commentary and motions.

But thanks to community creations, particularly creator WorldsFinest has created an amazing Big Poppa Pump, and once downloaded you will find him as the alternate for Scott Steiner. Note, you will still need to own the Steiner Row pack to download this creation.

To complete the full Poppa Pump experience go to the Creations tab – Entrance & Victory. Go into Entrance and select Scott Steiner, then edit.

Go into “Motion” and you will find “BIG Poppa Pump”. Select and save changes. Do the same in the Victory section so that you can use the Big Poppa Pump HEEL and Face Victory motions then save changes. You can also go back in community creations and find a real portrait image of him so he will look 100% legit alongside the in-game superstars.

Overall, the Steiner Row pack delivers the nostalgia of having the Steiners while also including a newer tag team that has never been in a WWE 2K title.

Rating: 4 out of 5.
