Microsoft held its 2024 Xbox Showcase in collaboration with Summer Game Fest yesterday. The showcase was received positively. This is attributed to Microsoft bringing back many beloved IPs from the past, and announcing some new ones in-between.

Every Xbox Showcase 2024 Announcement
New Xbox Series X Consoles
Microsoft announced new Xbox Series X and Series S Consoles.
Firstly, a 2TB SSD Xbox Series X,
Secondly an all-digital Xbox Series X with a 1TB SSD. One has to question why the all-digital model isn’t also 2TB.
And finally, a 1TB SSD Xbox Series S.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6: Gameplay Reveal Trailer
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 releases on October 25th on PS4, PlayStation 5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X. The game will be available on Game Pass on launch day.
Sea of Thieves – 13th Season
The Sea of Thieves 13th season will release on July 25th, 2024. This new update will also be coming to the PlayStation platform. Season 13 allows you to play as villainous pirates.
Dragon Age: Veilguard
We finally get eyes on the new Dragon Age game, titled Dragon Age: The Veilguard. As someone who has Dragon Age Origins in their top-5 RPGs list, I have to say that I’m not fully excited. We need gameplay!
Fallout 76 – Skyline Valley
Fallout 76 Skyline Valley is a new update for the game which allows players to play as Ghouls. It also includes the region of Appalachia. This one is out this week on June 12th. Available on Game Pass.
Starfield: Shattered Space Expansion
Starfield gets its very first expansion. Shattered Space comes to consoles and PCs in 2024. There will also be smaller updates including bounties and community-based content.
State of Decay 3
State of Decay 3 picks up where SoD2 left off. It is set sometime after the zombie apocalypse. We weren’t given any release date sadly.
Doom: The Dark Ages
DOOM: The Dark Ages is a prequel to DOOM (2016). This will be using id Software’s latest idTech engine.
Clair Obscur: Expedition 33
New studio Sandfall Interactive announces its debut title Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Its refreshing to see a game with this level of visual detail using turn-based combat. I always loved a good turn-based game.
South of Midnight
South of Midnight is a new third person action-adventure from Compulsion Games. This game comes from he creators of We Happy Few.
Flintock: The Siege of Dawn
Flintock: The Siege of Dawn is an action-RPG releasing on July 18. This one comes from the creators of Ashen.
Age of Mythology: Retold
Age of Mythology comes from the creators of Age of Empires. Instead of depicting accurate history, this one focuses heavily on mythology, allowing users to command monsters and deities alongside humans. The game releases on September 4th for Xbox Series X and PC.
Fragpunk
Fragpunk is a 5v5 hero shooter with rule-changing game cards that can be collected. Is it just me, or is there an influx of hero shooters coming down the pipeline? Fragpunk aims to standout with its groovy effects and its unique card system.
Winter Burrow
In Winter Burrow, we follow a little mouse as they tell their story of arriving to a broken-down childhood home.
Mixtape
Nope, this is not a game reflecting on the glorious Hip Hop mixtape era of 2000-2010. Mixtape allows you to play through a mixtape of memories, set to the soundtrack of a generation of three high school friends.
Atomfall
Atomfall is a survival game set after a nuclear disaster in Great Britain. The game features some interesting scenery in the British countryside.
Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater
Metal Gear Solid Delta looks absolutely stunning. This game is a remake of Metal Gear Solid 3, a 20-year-old game which originally released on the PS2 in 2004.
Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl
S.T.A.L.K.E.R. 2: Heart of Chornobyl features a borderless open world for players to explore.
Perfect Dark
We finally got a look at the new Perfect Dark. In this game, agent Joanna Dark will hunt Daniel Carrington, to uncover the mysteries that threaten the lives of millions.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle had one of the lengthier reveal trailers during the showcase, and for good reason. This IP holds weight. In this game, Indy and Gina make a startling discovery in the Himalayas. There’s no word on when we’ll be seeing this one.
Microsoft Flight Simulator
The flagship Flight Sim returns with Flight Simulator 2024. This one will release November 19th, 2024.
Mecha Break
Gundam fans rejoice! We have another mecha game coming soon. Mecha BREAK is a multiplayer game that allows players to choose from a variety of mechas. The game will be coming out in 2025, but there’s a beta this August.
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers
Wuchang: Fallen Feathers is a rouge-like set in the Ming Dynasty. This one is said to hit Game Pass sometime in 2025.
Life is Strange: Double Exposure
Max Caulfield returns in Life is Strange Double Exposure. This comes to PC and Xbox Series X on October 29th.
The Elder Scrolls Online: Gold Road
It’s hard to believe that its been 10 years since The Elder Scrolls Online released. For the special anniversary, Gold Road is releasing on June 18th.
Assassin’s Creed Shadows
Here’s another look at the controversial Assassin’s Creed Shadows. Be on the lookout for more details on this game in the coming days. The game releases on November 15th.
Avowed
Avowed is the highly-anticipated RPG developed by Obsidian. The game is coming sometime in 2024. My guess is sometime this Fall.
Fable
Microsoft brings back one of its hottest exclusive IPs Fable. This one is apparently due for release in 2025.
Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred
This was one heck of a CGI trailer. Be prepared for the screaming! Diablo IV will be receiving a ton of new content with Vessel of Hatred. This includes a new character class, region, and storyline.
World of Warcraft: The War Within
The most popular MMO shows no signs of slowing down. World of Warcraft The War Within expansion will be released on PC this August 26th.
Gears of War: E-Day
Gears of War E-Day was the mic-drop announcement yesterday. This new Gears of War title will focus on the Locust War fourteen years before the original game. Marcus Phoenix and Dom Santiago return!
