Torchlight: Infinite has started its latest closed beta that began on April 24th, and I am greatly appreciative of being part of this experience. The new beta not only opened up chances for other players to get into the game but also brought with it a plethora of new content for fans to experience.
Torchlight: Infinite teleports players to the era of Ember Tech, which is 200 years after Torchlight 2. Humanity has embraced Ember as the primary power source for everything from technology, to even magic. Unfortunately, like a wise man once said, “With great power comes great responsibility,” and not everyone wishes to use this power for good. A mysterious force is using Ember as a way to stretch their evil reach out of the shadows and across the land to spread corruption and chaos. Luckily, we have Torchlight to help beat back the darkness and bring light back into the world. These mighty warriors have become humanity’s last hope of survival in these dark days.
Torchlight: Infinite brings old heroes back from the previous beta builds such as the Divineshot, the Berserker, the Spacetime Witness, and Frostfire magic mage. The Divineshot, Carino, that shoots deadly projectiles at enemies from a distance, the Berserker, Rehan, that deals devastating damage at melee range, the Spacetime Witness, Yoga, that can harness the power of spacetime and thunder, and finally, the Frostfire magic mage, Gemma, who deals tons of area-of-effect damage to opponents.
In this new beta, we got a brand new hero to take the fight up with, Commander Moto. He is a distinguished Ember Tech lecturer that uses a legion of mechanical allies to establish his presence on the battlefield. If you’re a fan of glorious beards and high-tech mayhem, you’ll definitely want to give Moto a run.
This beta window also includes a seasonal Dark Surge Invasion, where hunters must face ferocious monsters known as Aemberons and a fierce final boss “The Tidemaster”, to gain generous rewards including currency, corroded gears, and corroded legendaries. During this seasonal event, you will also meet a mysterious person also hunting the Tidemaster, Zenoth the Lightless.
Zenoth will provide players with Forbidden Craft, a tool that resets affixes’ value without affecting the gear’s tier or breaks through T1 affixes to ember-affixes when used on regular gear; and strengthens existing affixes or resets gear with different affixes when used on legendaries.

This game is simply amazing from the art style and the sound to the graphics. If you are a fan of Torchlight 2, then this game is a must. I can not wait for the final release. I have already put in 13 hours into this and now Carino and I are heading back into the Portal to cause more damage.
