PlayStation Pass Required to Play Uncharted 3 Online

Uncharted 3 is one of the most anticipated games of the year, and it comes out in less than a month. One of the main reasons so many fans are excited, is to test out the final version of the revamped multiplayer. Many gamers have already gotten a taste with the public beta, but the final version promises to be as robust as ever. With that being said, some of the greatest things in life aren’t free. Anyone who buys a new copy of the game gets access to multiplayer completely free, but anyone that buys it used will be required to buy a PlayStation Pass, for $10 on the PSN Store.

This is all probably due to the fact that developers don’t get any revenue from used games, and are using this as an attempt to cash in on a portion of the used game sales. At the same time: what is the point of buying games like this used? Most of the time, you probably won’t be getting a whole lot more than $10 off the game, so you might as well buy the game new. The game releases for PS3 on 11/1/11. What does everyone else think of this news? Let us know below!
