Assassin’s Creed 4 players will be interested to know that that PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions of Black Flag will get exclusive content, in which you play as AC: Liberation’s hero Aveline de Grandpré.
There will be three missions in which you play as Aveline, which amounts to about an hour of content, Assassin’s Creed 4 lead writer Darby McDevitt explained:
“It’s a ways forward so Aveline is a bit older. It’s not directly related to the end of her story. If Assassin’s Creed IV is like a novel, Aveline’s missions are like a short story.”
“The present-day is set in Abstergo Entertainment – which is this fun, hip company to work for… at first. You are able to access the Aveline stuff because your coworkers are working on retrieving different genetic memories from all kinds of different people.”
Although an hour of content is not a lot it’s still enough to warrant people getting annoyed about, nobody likes it when content is not available for everyone and the chance to play as a different character sounds cool. I’m fairly sure that this exclusive content will make some people change which version they were going to get.
Let me know in the comments what you think about the Assassin’s Creed exclusive missions and whether exclusive content would ever make you change your ming over which platform to get.
Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag is out on PC, PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U on October 29 in North America and November 1 in Europe. It will release on next-gen at a later date.
