Capcom Revives Strider For Next-Gen Consoles

Correct me if I’m wrong but the last time we saw a game starring Strider Hiryu was on the original Playstation sometime during the new millennium. Capcom figures it’s the perfect time to have Strider stop from fighting Marvel and Street Fighter characters in the ‘Marvel Vs Capcom’ series, and have him get pack to his usual set of foes.

Capcom’s Comic-Con panel wasn’t without its surprises as the company chose to reveal a new Strider game. The new game is said to be an open world 2-D sidescroller with Metroidvania type exploration. If that is the case, sign me up. To make the announcement even sweeter was the reveal that not only will it be available on Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, it will also be headed to the next-gen consoles PS4 and Xbox One. And to no ones surprise, no Wii U version.

But nope, Capcom didn’t stop there. They have released a reveal trailer and “what, oh my!” a……gameplay trailer. And I mean a REAL gameplay trailer. Take notes publishers. Feel free to check them out and let us know your thoughts.
