Yesterday, 2k Sports released a brand new NBA 2K14 developer diary video focused on the various improvements made to the MyTEAM mode in this year’s game.
The video above gives a preview of several of the most requested features including ranked leaderboards, tournaments, a play against friends option, and the ability to playthrough an entire NBA season with your customized team. The creative team also stated that bonuses will be activated once the real season starts. The previous trailer in this series focused on gameplay enhancements but gave very little details beyond the offensive and defensive changes. After getting a look at this trailer, it’s evident that 2K is really committed to giving the fans what they want and I’ll be interested to see how this works out for everyone in the end.
With all of this news regarding the current gen version of NBA 2K14, one can’t help but wonder when we are going to start hearing about the next-gen version of the game. Besides a slight graphical upgrade, what else can we expect from the next-gen version of NBA 2k14? Hopefully 2K can begin to shed some light on this matter shortly after this game is released.
NBA 2K14 launches on October 1st for the Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, and PC. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions will hit stores in November. Are any of you impressed by the changes made to MyTEAM mode? Feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
