Earlier this week the news came in that Nintendo will be missing out on their E3 press conference this year, and instead offer a number of small events to E3 attendees. Some believe that Nintendo can get away with this movie, given that they have the loyal fan-base to do so. However, 2013 was clearly the year in which they needed to convince gamers to invest in a Wii U console.
So how will this decision effect them? Listen as we react to this news with our panel of gaming enthusiasts consisting of myself, Edward V, Michael A, Richard Bailey and Jakejames Lugo. Jakejames also wrote an article yesterday covering this very topic, so be sure to check it out.
Earlier me and Jakejames debated the issue of whether the Wii U is a mistake or misunderstood. So how does this new revelation affect the questions we raised during that podcast? Let us know what you think in the comments below.
Microsoft also made a press announcement this week, confirming that they would be revealing their next console on May 21st. We branched off to discuss what Microsoft could possibly offer at this event which will be just over two weeks away from their E3 one. Will they just read out a bunch of specs and leave the games for E3? Let us know what you think their approach will be below.
