Ubisoft today announced that Assassin’s Creed Unity has been delayed into November from its previous October 28 release date.
The new date for the game is November 11 for North America and November 13 for Europe.
Vincent Pontbriand, senior producer at Ubisoft said:
“As we got close to the finish, we realized we were near the target but still needed a bit more time to hone some of the details to make sure Assassin’s Creed Unity is exceptional, we sincerely appreciate players’ commitment to the game and their patience. It’s just a couple more weeks, and it’s going to be worth it.”
I do have to wonder whether the game was moved to avoid a very busy October. One problem that does arise now is the fact the Assassin’s Creed Rogue is also coming out that same week, meaning we might get two Assassin’s Creed games at the same time, that can’t be good for business.
Do you think Ubisoft will move Rogue to make way for Unity? Are you annoyed at the delay? Feel free to comment below.
