2K’s Mysterious ‘Advent Administration’ Ads Show a Bright (Dystopian) Future

In preparation of announcing a new game, 2K has launched a mysterious advertisement that provides zero answers to their many questions.

It all started yesterday when the company sent out a series of tweets about a medical and gene therapy company called Advent Administration which “strives to create a world free from hunger, pain, sickness, and war,” and who “believe in a global community of happy and comfortable citizens.”

The advertisement then goes on to ask, “what are you waiting for?” as it displays the number of global citizens signing up. Not all is how it seems however, for if you look closely, the images soon start to change… as if being hijacked, slowly unveiling the truth behind it all.

“The ADVENT is lying to you,” is soon displayed as the site begins to take a sinister change. Images of smiling couples turn into missing persons ads, and beautiful, clean cities show chaos and destruction. In addition, a link to an Advent gene therapy pamphlet provides information on being supposedly “freed from illness.” What is this illness? Please don’t let it be another zombie outbreak.

2K’s parent company Take-Two hinted at a “soon-to-be announced new triple-A title from 2K” with hopes of the game launching during Take-Two’s fiscal 2016 year, which translates to a release date before April of next year.

There are no further details but with E3 around the corner, we can surely expect more information soon. Perhaps even a trailer.
