Earlier today, Sony Pictures Entertainment released a new trailer and the official poster art for their upcoming Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse animated film. The trailer is conveniently embedded above while the theatrical movie poster is included below.
Developed by Phil Lord and Christoper Miller, this animated film revolves around Miles Morales dealing with the everyday responsibility that comes from being a regular high school student and Spider-Man. Actor Shameik Moore plays the voice of Miles Morales.
As Wilson Fisk (voiced by Liev Schreiber) continues to wreak havoc on New York City, dimensions begin to clash and several other types of Spider-Man characters from the Spider-Verse come into contact with Miles. Eventually, Peter Parker (voiced by Jake Johnson) takes it upon himself to help Miles reach his full potential as a superhero and stop Fisk once and for all. Below are two additional screenshots from the upcoming film.
Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse looks absolutely spectacular and is destined to be a big box office draw this holiday season. This animated film will arrive months a few after Marvel’s Spider-Man, a PS4 exclusive developed by Insomniac Games and currently one of the top-selling exclusives so far this year.
The film hits theaters on December 14th. Are you planning on checking it out? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
