Laurence Fishburne Will Not Be In Matrix 4 Because He “Wasn’t Invited Back”

In disrespectful news, Laurence Fishburne, who played Morpheus in the original Matrix and its two sequels has revealed why he won’t be appearing in Matrix 4.

In a recent interview with SyFy Wire, Fishburne stated he wasn’t even invited back to play what he describes as his most memorable role.

“No. I have not been invited,” Fishburne said. “Maybe that will make me write another play. I wish them well. I hope it’s great.”

“It is probably the role that I’ll be best remembered for, which is great; it’s not the only thing I’ll be remembered for, which is better. What I get with him is I’ve got Darth Vader in this hand, and I’ve got Obi-Wan in that hand. I’ve got Bruce Lee, I’ve got Muhammad Ali shuffled in there, and I’ve got kung fu,” the actor said.

Matrix 4 is scheduled for an April 1, 2022 release.
