The Top 10 Most Anticipated PlayStation 4 Exclusives of 2020

Last year, Sony achieved an incredible milestone when the PlayStation 4 became the fastest-selling home console to reach 100 million units sold. With an outstanding library of notable titles like Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, Horizon Zero Dawn, Detroit Become Human, Death Stranding and more, it’s easy to see why this 6-year-old home console still remains a popular choice for most players today.

Now in it’s seventh and possibly final year as the PlayStation 5 release draws closer, developers are still working hard to make sure that the PS4 has the perfect swan song. The following list includes ten upcoming PlayStation 4 exclusives that are guaranteed to keep you busy over the next several months.

Dreams

Release Date: February 14th

Dreams is an upcoming game creation system developed by the talented team over at Media Molecule. After having a ton of success with the LittleBigPlanet series, the British based studio perfected their formula and crafted an experience in which players can create, play and share their own games with each other. A brief look at the trailer above provides some amazing examples of what can be created in Dreams and I’m very much looking forward to seeing how much more unique content the community will make when this title officially launches next month.

Marvel’s Iron Man VR

Release Date: May 15th

Marvel’s Iron Man VR is an upcoming PlayStation VR single-player shooter being developed by République VR studio Camouflaj. After Insomniac Games exceeded all expectations with Marvel’s Spider-Man back in 2018, it will be very interesting to see how this project turns out. If you did manage to purchase a PSVR headset recently, this may be one of many titles worth keeping on your radar.

Final Fantasy VII Remake

Release Date: April 10th

Final Fantasy VII Remake is an upcoming action role-playing game being developed by Square Enix. Based on the 1997 PlayStation game Final Fantasy VII, this remake looks nothing short of incredible and is being distributed in episodic installments with the first portion of the game releasing in March. The official announcement of the game during Sony’s memorable E3 2015 press conference is still a highlight for me and I’m more than certain that this will be a day one purchase for many.

Serving as a prequel to 2017’s Nioh, this title allows you to create your own playable character with a yokai spirit and participate in a three-player cooperative multiplayer mode. If you’re a fan of games like Dark Souls and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, then you’ll definitely enjoy everything that this challenging game has to offer.

MLB The Show 20

Release Date: March 17th

MLB The Show 20 is an upcoming baseball game being developed by SIE San Diego Studio. With Chicago Cubs Infielder Javier Báez as this year’s cover athlete and the franchise entering its fifteenth year, it will be very interesting to see how the developers will keep the overall experience fresh. If you’re a sports fan, this is one game that you definitely don’t want to miss out on.

Persona 5: Royal

Persona 5: Royal is an upcoming role-playing and social simulation game being developed by Atlus. The Last of Us Part II is an upcoming action-adventure game being developed by Naughty Dog. This sequel continues Ellie’s story as she navigates through a cruel and unforgiving post-apocalyptic world filled with The Infected and hostile factions. The Last of Us is still highly regarded as one of Naughty Dog’s best games next to Uncharted and this sequel is one reason why you definitely should own a PS4 in 2020.

Ghost of Tsushima is an upcoming action-adventure game being developed by Sucker Punch Productions.
