The wait is over, and we now know Pete Davidson is lending his voice to Autobot Mirage in the upcoming Transformers: Rise of the Beast and people can hear Davidson’s Mirage in all his metallic glory with the premiere of the Rise of the Beast Superbowl spot.
Mirage will make his big screen appearance in Rise as a Porsche 911 Carrera RS 3.8 when in car mode, with Anthony Ramos and Dominique Fishback heading up the human portion of the cast. In addition to Davidson, other actors voicing Autobots and Decepticons include Ron Perlman as Optimus Primal, Peter Dinklage as Scourge, Michelle Yeoh as Airazor, and the great Peter Cullen in his signature role as Autobot leader Optimus Prime.
As seen in the trailer, in addition to hearing Pete Davidson’s voice in the role of Autobot Mirage, Transformers: Rise of the Beast will also brings the thrills that will take audiences on a ’90s globetrotting adventure and introduce the Maximals, Predacons, and Terrorcons to the existing battle on earth between Autobots and Decepticons.
While fans will have to wait until the summer to see Transformers: Rise of the Beasts hit the big screen, and it looks set to be one of the biggest entries in the franchise to date according to star Anthony Ramos.
Bumblebee provided a new spark to the franchise, and that is set to continue in Rise of the Beasts. Ramos explained to Collider:
“Lorenzo di Bonaventura, who’s one of our lead producers on the movie, came up to me and said, ‘How are you feeling about the movie, man?’ I was like, ‘I don’t know, I haven’t seen it.’ And he was like, […] ‘It’s rivaling right there with the first one.’
“I was like, ‘Wow!’ That movie was the introduction of the franchise, so it almost feels like an introduction into a new franchise. It feels like the beginning of a new thing, which feels amazing. Steven Caple Jr., our director, is amazing. Dominique Fishback, Pete Davidson, and the cast is insane. I’m just grateful to be there.”
