During Summer Games Fest, Torn Banner Studios announced an eight-player coop horror shooter titled No More Room In Hell 2. Described as the sequel to the 2011 award-winning Source mod, No More Room In Hell 2 is a zombie survival game built entirely in Unreal Engine 5 and set to launch in Early Access the Fall. No More Room in Hell 2 takes place at the onset of an immersive, active zombie apocalypse. With a combination of classic zombie enemies in a grounded yet terrifying survival story, this true PvE 8-player co-op game will instill terror into players while offering fresh, tactical gameplay, high-stakes permadeath and intricate combat design. Live together or die alone as players must survive, scavenge, stockpile and extract – then repeat, each time in an ever-changing experience that combines survival horror and rogue-like genres with a terrifying socially emergent experience unfolding over proximity VOIP.
Set within a massive map with three richly detailed regions and multiple start points, each playthrough provides countless surprises and scares. With dozens of iconic horror movie scenes playing out as places of interest, unique objectives and rewards and secrets, players must start out alone in the dark and make their way towards the center of the map in the hope of achieving extraction. Through the perilous journey, they solve puzzles, encounter fellow survivors and slay hordes of the undead, in this endlessly replayable horror experience. During early access, the game will be regularly updated with new content and features, including the launch of an additional map where the story of the outbreak will further be revealed.
