Bruce Lee Will Appear In EA Sports UFC, Game Out On June 17th

Last night, EA Sports confirmed over their official website that Bruce Lee will be appearing in their upcoming EA Sports UFC video game. They also revealed that the game is currently slated to launch worldwide on June 17th for the Xbox One and PlayStation 4.

EA Sports UFC Creative Director Brian Hayes stated that Bruce Lee seemed like the perfect addition to the roster because of his contributions to the modern mixed martial arts scene as a whole. EA worked endlessly with Bruce Lee Enterprises to capture the true essence and feel of the martial arts icon. Players will be able to unlock Bruce in flyweight, bantum weight, featherweight, and lightweight divisions after completing the game’s career mode on the pro difficulty setting. Below are two images of how Bruce will look in the game.

As a diehard Bruce Lee fan myself, I’m definitely excited to see how this experiment turns out in the end. My main concern right now is on the gameplay because we still really don’t have an idea of how the finished product will look. Now that EA has confirmed a release date, I fully expect them to show us more from the game in the months ahead.

Are any of you planning on picking up EA Sports UFC this June? Does the Bruce Lee announcement make you more or less excited for the game? Please feel free to let us know in the comments section below.
