Earlier today, CD Projekt Red Studios and Bandai Namco Entertainment announced that Geralt of Rivia from The Witcher series will be a playable guest character in Soul Caliber VI. CD Projekt Red Community Lead Marcin Momot describes Geralt as a character with strong convictions and a complex background, instantly making him the perfect addition to this roster. An introductory gameplay trailer featuring the iconic protagonist is conveniently embedded above while a few new screenshots are included below.
Prior to this announcement, CD Projekt Red had revealed that Geralt would appear in another major game set to release later this year. The decision to include him in a fighting game makes a lot of sense. As a personal fan of The Witcher series, I’m definitely looking forward to Soul Caliber VI even more now and I’m curious to see how Geralt’s storyline progresses within this universe.
