New Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag Trailer Explores Next-Gen

Earlier today, Ubisoft released a new trailer for Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag to highlight several of the next-gen features that are being implemented into the overall gameplay experience.

The video above details a few key technological advancements that are being made to the game in terms of weather dynamics, lighting, and ocean mechanics. It is unclear whether or not these features apply to all current-gen platforms or only PC and next-gen consoles. My best guess is that even if some of these features do make it into the current-gen version of the game, the next-gen counterpart will showcase these improvements significantly better when all is said and done.

Black Flag is indeed shaping up to be another excellent installment in the Assassin’s Creed series. While there are a majority of gamers who have already gone tired of this franchise, Ubisoft still deserves props for coming up with new storylines and settings to explore.

Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag releases on October 29th in North America and on November 1st in Europe for the PC, PlayStation 3, Wii U, and Xbox 360. Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions of the game will be released in November. Did any of you enjoy the new trailer on the next-gen dynamics of the game?
