With the release of The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker HD right around the corner, the lovely folks at GameXplain have provided a fantastic comparison of the visual differences between the new HD version and the original Gamecube one.
As you can see from the video above there has been a lot of improvements in The Wind Waker HD, the textures are a lot clearer and the view distance has been increased. There appears to be lots of subtle differences in the boss designs and I must say that the lighting is now absolutely beautiful. One complaint is that the game seems less colorful now, the colors seems washed out when compared to the original but I think that the new textures, 1080p resolution and amazing lighting more than make up for that.
