Throwdown Ep. 95 – Fanboyin’ Ain’t Easy

Written by on

Welcome to another episode of Throwdown. On this podcast/vidcast we discuss the latest video game news and topics in an uncompromising and honest manner. No developer, publisher, or fanboy is safe from us!

This week saw the release of the Xbox One S and the Suicide Squad movie. Xbox zealots proclaimed the slimmer edition of the Xbox One as the thing that will finally end Sony’s dominance in the console war. On the other side, DC fanboys attacked various places (including The Koalition) over negative reviews of Suicide Squad. What has fanboys so riled up that they have to resort to such lunacy? Is media bias real or is something else at play here? We’ll discuss this in detail.

Other topics we discuss on this episode:

– Square-Enix accused of cultural appropriation with Deus Ex: Mankind Divided
Marvel Ultimate Alliance remaster controversy
– Zelda, Mario, and Pokemon coming to Nintendo NX during launch window
– Nintendo releases classic Nintendo Power issues online
– GoG releases classic Disney games: Aladdin, Lion King, & Jungle Book
