13 LL Cool J Tracks Everyone Must Hear

LL Cool J’s 13th album “Authentic” has dropped today and to mark the release, TheKoalition.com has compiled a play list of 13 LL Cool J songs.

These are songs from LL Cool J’s lengthy library that we believe should be heard by anyone interested in listening to LL Cool J, or Hip-Hop in general.

13 is seen by many as an unlucky number but for LL Cool J it signifies the amount of albums he has released since his career began back in 1985 with his debut album “Radio”.

This play list contains classic songs from his early days as a young MC from New York to the late 90’s early 00’s when he became a Hip-Hop superstar-turned actor.

LL Cool J’s 1987 hit “I’m Bad” starts off proceedings and is followed by his other early classics including “I Can’t Live Without My Radio”, “Rock The Bells” and his classic Kool Moe Dee, MC Hammer and Ice-T diss “To Da Break Of Dawn”.

Mama Said Knock You Out” is included of course, as well as his classic tracks for the ladies such as “I Need Love”, “Hey Lover” (featuring Boyz II Men) and “Ain’t Nobody”.

His classic collaborations “4,3,2,1” (featuring Method Man, Redman, Canibus & DMX) and “I Shot Ya” (featuring Keith Murray, Foxy Brown, Prodigy & Fat Joe) are also on the play list.

The 1996 track “Doin’ It” and 2004 hit “Headsprung” (produced by Timbaland) make up the rest of the play list.
